The RIT
repository will contain industry specific behavior and
payment information donated nightly by data
contributors. This information is transmitted from the
contributor’s enterprise, management, finance or
suitable CRM software directly to RIT through a web
interface. To secure privacy, these nightly
transmissions will not contain key identifiers. The benefits
listed below illustrate the extent to which RIT
will protect and profit software providers and their
clients.
If,
after reading about these benefits, you agree, that RIT
will benefit your customers please add your company’s
name to our
waiting list.
There is absolutely no obligation to become
an interface member but it will decrease waiting time
when memberships become available. Please note that
membership applications will be extended to companies in
the order they appear on our waiting lists. On behalf of
RIT and your clients, thank you for your
support.
We offer
our apologies in advance for our rigorous qualifying
process and very limited number of custom
interfaces.
RIT reserves the right to discontinue any
interface not in compliance with all RIT and legal
requirements; see forthcoming agreement for
details.

Compensation
Compensation and the well being of their customers are
the primary motivations for software providers to
establish an RIT interface. Software interface members
will receive a transaction fee for every report that is
purchased by one of their clients for whom they are the
primary RIT software interface member of record.*
Transaction fees are earned when the report has been
paid in full and the interface member is current with
all financial and compliance issues. The intent of this
fee is to compensate software providers for working in
concert with RIT to develop and maintain an interface to
process products and contribute data to our repository.
RIT
prefers to receive contributed data through interface
members and is willing to pay for this service. Reports
purchased via screening companies or directly from RIT
can not be discounted by the transaction fee amount, it
is exclusively for interface
members.*
Competitive
Advantage, Increased Profits & More
Customers
Because the RIT report
significantly improves all screening products, the
competitive edge of being first to have an RIT interface
will provide your clients and sales staff with the
latest in industry innovations, thus increasing their
confidence and performance resulting in more
customers.
More important, RIT will only accept data
transmitted though approved software interfaces via the
web, increasing both dependence upon, and sales of, your
software.
Help Deter
Commoditization of Current
Product
In the absence of
innovation or technological advancements, over time
software providers run the risk of their product
becoming a commodity. Customers looking for a
standardized product tend to seek out the lowest price,
typically the largest company with the best economies of
scale or the company with the least service. By
introducing an enhancement such as an RIT interface, the
software provider helps to avoid the commoditization of
their product. The RIT report marks a significant
advancement in the screening process and the practical
and balanced use of past payment and behavior
information.
Long-Term Strategic
Benefits
If RIT had not
developed a payment repository, one would eventually be
developed by another company, most likely associated
with a credit bureau or large screening company.
Unfortunately, both would sell lists to your customers’
competitors, and a large screening company would use the
data as a competitive edge against competitors,
eventually resulting in a price increase to your
clients. Either scenario
would likely involve additional negative consequences,
including developing a strategic alliance with another
software provider. RIT has no such affiliation nor will
it ever.
Directly or indirectly this other company would
certainly sell your customers’ clients’ data over and
over again to national marketing and collection
companies.
Many of these firms target and inundate your
customers’ clients with specific marketing to exploit
them as much as possible. Increased
purchases will financially drain their ability to afford
your customers’ product reducing your company sales as
well. Any
solution other than RIT will undoubtedly be detrimental
to both your company and your industry. A preferred
choice is obviously RIT; it’s lucrative, safe and
universally beneficial to the industry and consumers.

forthcoming software interface agreement for more
details; some products may be exempt from transaction
fees due to a free or near free
price.
