The Right Choice Requires the Right Information
|
Tenants and
consumers will enjoy incredible benefits from the RIT
repository and its products. As an information
provider RIT is very unique. RIT does not
sell information only the use of it for a specific
transaction.
Before RIT sells a consumer report, their
permission is required. To ensure that
their permission was obtained, RIT tracks all inquiries
(when, why and whom requested the report) so consumers
have a way to ensure that their permission was
given. RIT
does not sell or share data with third-parties or sell
lists of any kind.
When scores become available they will be
transparent.
RIT was designed to be a balanced, pro consumer
alternative for companies that wish to report payment
histories but also want to protect their customer’s
privacy. This provides our
customers a rare safe harbor for information necessary
to qualify applicants, reduce risk and lower prices,
while protecting privacy.
Due
to the accuracy of our data, consumers will not need to
subscribe to costly services to protect their consumer
data from inaccuracies that can negatively affect
credit worthiness. Every person with a good
payment record will obviously benefit, as they
should. A few items that distinguish the RIT
repository from all the rest:
• RIT
protects consumers
privacy. •
Consumers can control their own
information.
• The RIT $1 price cap.
• The “RIT no list
guarantee”. • More
timely and accurate payment information.
• Less need for previous
landlord/creditor’s subjective verbal assessment.
For consumers trying to obtain a loan without conventional
credit, the RIT repository could be indispensable. It
will be a source of payment history and credit
worthiness information never before available. RIT strongly believes
in consumer advocacy and is dedicated to helping
consumers of all socioeconomic backgrounds use their
rent and other payment histories to enhance or establish
credit worthiness. We encourage consumers to use our
data base to their advantage because credit, even
non-traditional credit, can be critical to obtaining a
job, an apartment, and even home ownership. Companies
using RIT reports can rest assured that our information
is accurate and trustworthy. RIT intends to provide this service at cost.
There is
a trend, particularly in the property information industry, to
develop lists and data bases that consist exclusively
of negative information. This type of data base
only has the ability to hurt tenants and consumers.
These lists will only rarely, at best, benefit landlords
who are still left with no means to find good tenants/clients.
RIT will never sell any information
without the authorization of consumers and contributors.
The RIT data base will stand alone in
its data timeliness, accuracy and inclusion of balanced
information.
Due to improved accuracy and timeliness first
time approvals should increase and when available,
scores will be transparent. Many other
aspects of RIT are designed specifically to help
consumers; their announcement will be forthcoming on
this web site.
Please note RIT has yet to begin accepting data,
or selling reports.
